Andy Smith awarded Presidential Service Award

Andy Smith, a PhD student at NCSU, received the Presidential Service Award for Volunteerism (Gold Level) for his service with Citizen Schools in Durham. Andy has led a LEGO robotics apprenticeship for five semesters in the Citizen Schools after school program at Lowe’s Grove Middle School.  The Presidential Service Award honors Americans who, by their demonstrated commitment and example, inspire others to engage in volunteer service.
